In 2013 whilst serving as part of a steering group of the Society of Companion Animal Studies, Julie Milsom, Co Founder of Hereford Community Farm met Katie Bristow. Katie shared Julie’s passion for human animal interactions with qualifications and experience in exploring animal welfare and behaviour. Together, Julie and Katie founded People & Animals AAI UK CIC, a forum to deliver collaborative training, seminars and workshops across the sphere of Animal Assisted Interventions in the UK. People & Animals went on to establish Wisbech Community Farm based on the learnings from Hereford Community Farm. As Director, Katie manages Wisbech Community Farm which is going from strength to strength and the ongoing, shared learning continues to be a huge asset to both Wisbech and Hereford Community Farms.
