Volunteering
We welcome the input of our volunteers who bring skills, expertise, and enthusiasm and are a valued part of the team. The primary role of volunteers at the farm is to support people attending to engage in activities of their choice and to work alongside the staff to facilitate activities. To volunteer, you must;
- be aged 18 or over and able to commit time regularly.
- be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
There will be opportunities for accredited training within your volunteer role.
‘If you are a group, business, or organisation looking to volunteer together you may be able to help us with some of our larger tasks and we would love to hear from you. With the renovation at Ashley Farm, our new site, there is certainly plenty to do!’ – Julie Milsom, Founding Director, Hereford Community Farm
‘I think all of us at Hereford City Rotary Club have loved coming here. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a community project like this where everyone can put their wellies on, put their jackets on, pick up a shovel, a broom, whatever it’s taken to come and clean up a farm that hasn’t been used for quite a few years.’ John Taylor, President of Hereford City Rotary Club
To find out more about the volunteer role please see our Volunteer Policy and Volunteer Agreement.
